Will I lose weight participating in Get Fit On Route 66?
Many people do, but that’s not the main purpose — though active individuals are more likely to maintain a healthy weight than those who are inactive. Being active offers numerous other health benefits, including reduced heart disease risk, decreased cancer risk, less stress, more blood glucose control, slower aging process, improved mood, greater emotional/psychological well-being, and better sleep.

Why is there a limit to how far my car moves each day?
The program’s intent is to motivate everyone to get fit and have fun. You can record your total exercise minutes each day, but the program limits the daily distance you move along the route to XX miles. This ensures everyone in your group completes the route in approximately the same amount of time (12-17 weeks on average).
